NEWSLETTERS
Whether you’re advertising a community garage sale or you’re distributing suggestions for seasonal property care, newsletters can be tailored to the need of each community. We understand the benefits that occur when people are “in the know”. Now it’s easier than ever to keep in touch with your residents to develop open lines of communication. Newsletters are a great way to streamline happenings and create synergy within communities. SSMG recommends that all communities send regular newsletters and we’ve now made it easier than ever to stay in touch with your neighbors!

SURVEYS
Whether it’s quarterly or annually, SSMG will create, disseminate and analyze surreys to residents in your community. This is a tool that we use on our own clients to be able to clearly identify areas of support and topics that need addressed. If your community isn’t sending out a survey, at the minimum annually, please consider choosing SSMG to handle this important aspect for you.

SURVEY SUGGESTIONS

Things that we recommend highlighting online (but not limited to):

Community specific documents, Policies and procedures, Contact information, Rules & Regulations, Architectural Control, Online payment options, FAQ’s, etc.

There are many ways that neighbors communicate online. Having a third party monitor and report to the board on topics being discussed is important. Let SSMG handle this time-consuming aspect of your community.

Hammock Dunes Owners Association was recently certified as the tenth Audubon Sustainable Community! As part of the certification process, they have crafted a Long-Term Sustainability Plan that will guide their sustainability initiatives over the coming years. They are the first, private community in Florida to ever achieve certification. Congratulations to Marge Rooyakkers, Travis Houk and their wonderful team on this amazing accomplishment!

Located in Palm Coast, Florida, The Landings at Marina Cove Condominium Association Inc. consists of 65 submerged land leased boat slips with direct access to the Atlantic Intracoastal Waterway.

Southern States Management Group, Inc. (SSMG) was retained by the Daytona Inn Beach Resort Condominium Association, Inc. in the fourth quarter of 2015 after an extensive management search by the Board of Directors. SSMG’s current responsibilities include assisting the Board of Directors with enforcement of the condominium documents and rules and regulations, collection of delinquent member assessments and any applicable legal action available, collection and management of two special member assessments and comprehensive assistance with the Board of Directors and general contractor for the directly related concrete restoration project. Other responsibilities include daily management of on-site maintenance staff and independent third party vendors as well as related administrative, full-service accounting and member services responsibilities.

Additionally, Southern States Management Group, in conjunction with proprietary personnel, independent third party vendors meticulously maintains the exquisite common area landscaping, street and low voltage accent lighting, signage, water features, fencing and other similar common area amenities within the private community. Onsite staff also maintains responsibility for the supervised use of a social room and kitchen and recreational facilities that include billiards, televisions, and a theater.

The purpose of The Building Association Managers of Volusia (BAM) is to bring together people that manage local condominium buildings and homeowner associations with a select group of contractors/vendors in a social environment that lends itself to discussing current industry trends while building resources/relationships amongst the membership.

The meetings are held monthly on the third Tuesday of each month at the Halifax River Yacht Club.  People will typically start to arrive at 6:00 PM with the idea that dinner will be served starting at 6:30 PM. The board likes to pay for the first dinner to introduce potential members to the group.

They update their Facebook page weekly so great content there, too!

Southern States Management Group’s Vice President, Jeff Annon, is currently the Treasurer of the BAM Board of Directors and many of our Community Association Managers are members of this growing organization.

Jeff Annon Celebrates Ten Years With Southern States Management Group, Inc.

VOLUSIA & FLAGLER COUNTY (Thursday, July 26, 2018) – Jeff Annon celebrated his ten year anniversary with Southern States Management Group, Inc. in June 2018. A graduate from Elon University in North Carolina, Annon received his Bachelor of Science in Finance and his Masters in Business Administration at Rollins College. His role as Vice President of Southern States Management Group includes supervising investment (treasury) management, financial analyses of communities, procurement services, transition oversight and much more.

Southern States Management Group has been in the community for nearly 30 years. With two locations, their experienced team of professionals oversees the daily management of roughly 130 independently operating master and sub-associations representing nearly 15,000 assessment paying units.

Annon is also currently the Treasurer of the Building Association Managers of Volusia and Secretary of the Rotary Club in Ormond Beach where he has been a member for four years.
